Compensation bonus for self-employed persons up to CZK 25,000

The Chamber of Deputies approved the terms for the direct support of self-employed persons (SEPs) in the form of a one-time compensation bonus amounting to CZK 25,000. The amount is not subject to taxation or insurance contributions.

The support concerns entrepreneurs and other business entities, such as doctors, advisors, and not only those who carry out the activity as their main activity, but also those who carry out the activity as their subsidiary activity (for example SEPs who receive a pension or parental allowance, SEPs taking care of a handicapped person).

The support can be claimed by SEPs who declare that they could not carry out their activity fully or partially as usual because of the health risks related to the coronavirus or because of the governmental emergency measures. The support will be paid based on an application, which should contain a solemn declaration confirming fulfilment of the terms. The application should be submitted by 30 June 2020 at the latest or the claim expires.
